Our home in Port Charlotte, Southwest Florida, is just a couple of hours drive from Orlando - yet can feel a million miles away. With its laid back pace, warm Gulf waters and beautiful white-sand beaches it's the perfect antidote to Orlando.
Simply take a deep breath, relax and change down a gear.
Just some of the elements that make us and our family return year after year are the superb local restaurants offering great choice and value, warm friendly people, fantastic golf and numerous wildlife conservation areas offering a real taste of rural Florida for those who dare!
An afternoon at Fisherman's Village is a true family favourite! You can pick up a local boat tour, browse the craft shops, fish, and top it all off with a hearty meal at one of the more traditional restaurants. Perhaps even catch sight of dolphins playing just off the coast while enjoying some "Grouper Fingers" at "Harpoon Harry's"! Sanibel Island is a short step onto truly Tropical Shores - it's a must if only to see the most glorious sunsets on offer in all of Florida!

attractions. You
can
pop
up to Busch Gardens with its thrill rides and animal encounters. Or how about
a
boat
ride
to Key West steeped in Hemingway, Colonial history and the home of laid back
living USA style?
